Cytoskeleton-Dependent Endomembrane Organization in Plant Cells: An Emerging Role for Microtubules
Posted on May. 13, 2013
This review provides an overview of current knowledge on actin-mediated organelle movement within the secretory pathway of plant cells and a report on recent and exciting findings that support a critical role of microtubules in plant cell development in fine-tuning the positioning of Golgi stacks, as well as their involvement in cellulose synthesis and auxin polar transport.

Pseudomonas syringae infection assays in Arabidopsis
Posted on May. 6, 2013
Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 (Pst DC3000) is a Gram-negative bacterial pathogen that causes bacterial speck disease of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) and Arabidopsis thaliana and has become an integral part of molecular and biochemical studies of host-pathogen interactions. Here, we provide examples of methods that have been useful for the elucidation of the role of COR/JA signaling in disease including assays for JAZ protein degradation and expression of JA response genes.

Regulation of the Chloroplast ATP synthase
Posted on Mar. 18, 2013
Chloroplast ATP synthase activity is regulated both by light and metabolic factors, but the relationship between these regulatory modes is not established. Mutating three highly conserved acidic amino acid residues - the γ-subunit alters light- but not metabolism-induced regulation.Kohzuma K, Dal Bosco C, Meurer J, Kramer DM. Published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, March 13, 2013. -
