Where the devotion to fundamental research in plant biology comes to life.

Welcome to the MSU-DOE Plant Research Laboratory website at the Michigan State University. The Plant Research Laboratory (PRL) is devoted to fundamental research in plant biology and the training of graduate students and postdoctoral scientists. To foster cooperative research that requires long-term, multi-disciplinary approaches, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has been providing financial support to the PRL on a continuing basis. Plant Research Laboratory is affiliated with: College of Natural Science and College of Agriculture & Natural Resources, the Departments of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Crop and Soil Sciences, and Plant Biology through joint appointments of its faculty. Plant Research Laboratory offers programs leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
